The charges carry a maximum prison sentence of seven years and fines, as well as a maximum sentence of one-year imprisonment and a maximum fine of RM2,000 or both if found guilty.

The case was managed by deputy public prosecutor Khairunnisa Zainuddin. All the accused were represented by their respective lawyers, including Norfazrin Jamal, from the National Legal Aid Foundation. Magistrate Saiful Sayoti allowed bail of RM2,000 for each juvenile offender with one surety and set December 17 for case re-mention.
