Dato’ G Kumaar Aamaan Congratulates Steven Thiru on His Appointment as CLA President

Kuala Lumpur, February 5 – Ottrangknews Chief Editor, Dato’ G Kumaar Aamaan, extends his heartfelt congratulations to prominent lawyer Steven Thiru on his appointment as the President of the Commonwealth Law Association (CLA) for the 2025-2027 term.

In his statement, Dato’ G Kumaar Aamaan emphasized that this appointment is not only a great honor for Malaysia but also a testament to Thiru’s exceptional leadership and contributions to the legal field at the international level.

“Steven Thiru is a highly respected lawyer with extensive experience in upholding the rule of law and human rights. Steven Thiru, a former President of the Malaysian Bar and currently the managing partner at Messrs Steven Thiru in Kuala Lumpur, has played a pivotal role in strengthening legal institutions. He is the second Malaysian to lead CLA, following Cyrus Das, who held the position from 1999 to 2003.
