SEREMBAN: Community activist and Chief Editor of Ottrangknews, Dato’ G Kumaar Aamaan, has spoken out, demanding that the local State Assemblyman (ADUN) and the Seremban City Council (MBS) take full responsibility for the recent incident where an elderly woman fell into a drainage hole due to poor maintenance.
According to Dato’ G Kumaar, the authorities must not dismiss this case without ensuring justice for the victim.
> “If there are physical injuries, the victim must be compensated. If they lose their job or face difficulties due to this incident, responsible parties should provide financial aid or appropriate assistance, especially if the victim is an elderly person in need.”
Is This the Authorities’ Attitude?
He also emphasized that such negligence must not be taken lightly, as similar incidents involving children or vulnerable individuals could lead to more severe consequences—even fatalities.
> “Are the authorities waiting for someone to lose their life before they act? This is not the first time such an incident has happened! If this issue continues to be ignored, where is the accountability of the authorities?”
Dato’ G Kumaar Aamaan’s Demands:
✅ Immediate compensation for victims who suffer injuries
✅ Financial aid for those who lose their jobs due to the incident
✅ Comprehensive inspections of all drainage covers to prevent similar accidents
Public Deserves Safety Assurance!
As of now, there has been no official statement from the local ADUN or city council regarding compensation or further action. However, Dato’ G Kumaar Aamaan warns that the people will not remain silent if their rights continue to be ignored!
> “Today, it’s an elderly woman. Tomorrow, it could be us! How long must the public suffer due to the negligence of local councils?”
The authorities must act immediately before more innocent people fall victim!
