SEREMBAN – A carpet factory in the Nilai 3 business hub was destroyed in a fire that broke out around 7 a.m. this morning, producing thick plumes of smoke visible across Nilai and the surrounding areas.
According to a statement from the Operations Center (PGO) of the Negeri Sembilan Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM), they received a report of the incident at 7:49 a.m.
“Fire engines and personnel arrived at the scene within 10 minutes of receiving the report and found that the fire involved a carpet manufacturing factory,” the statement said.
The factory structure was reported to be 100% destroyed, but no casualties were involved in the incident.
Firefighters from the Nilai, Mantin, and Seremban 2 Fire and Rescue Stations (BBP) are actively carrying out extinguishing operations.
Cause of Fire Still Under Investigation
At this time, the exact cause of the fire has yet to be determined, and the fire department is conducting further investigations to identify the real factors behind the incident.
This incident has raised concerns among traders and residents in Nilai 3, who rely on the area as a major business hub.
