“Human lives cannot be traded at negotiation tables that benefit only one side.”
KUALA LUMPUR: The bloody tragedy in Gaza has once again shaken the hearts of Muslims worldwide as eight humanitarian volunteers from the Malaysian Consultative Council for Islamic Organization (MAPIM) were killed in a brutal Israeli airstrike. They were neither fighters nor soldiers, but compassionate individuals who sought only to deliver aid to their suffering Palestinian brethren amid the relentless war.
In the heartbreaking incident at Beit Lahiya, northern Gaza, the volunteers were setting up tents to shelter war victims who had lost their homes. However, without any warning, Israeli missiles destroyed their efforts, turning these noble souls into victims of never-ending cruelty.
PAS Secretary-General, Datuk Seri Takiyuddin Hassan, strongly condemned the attack with deep anger and sorrow, calling it “a massacre that violates all boundaries of humanity.”
> “This is not just an act of oppression, but a war crime of the highest disgrace. The world must open its eyes to the atrocities of Israel, which continues to kill without humanity,” he stated in an official statement today.
He also urged the Malaysian Government and Wisma Putra to intensify diplomatic pressure to protect both the Palestinian people and humanitarian volunteers.
> “Human lives cannot be traded at negotiation tables that benefit only one side,” he emphasized.
Meanwhile, MAPIM Chief Executive Officer, Datuk Dr. Sani Araby Abdul Halim, described the attack as “the darkest moment in the history of humanity.”
> “These volunteers only wanted to help, not to fight. Yet, they became targets because they carried hope for the Palestinian people. This is the most despicable war crime,” he said with a heavy heart.
As the blood of these martyrs still stains the land of Gaza, the world continues to wait—will international leaders remain silent, or will justice finally be served for those who have perished?
