KUALA LUMPUR, May 11 (Bernama) — Malaysian Football League (MFL) acting Chief Executive Officer Mohd Shazli Shaik Mohd confirmed that all Super League teams, as well as A1 league champions Melaka FC and runners-up Imigresen FC, have submitted applications for their national club license.

He added that final approval is subject to the First Instance Body’s (FIB) decision.

“All decisions and confirmations will only be known after the FIB convenes for evaluation and review on May 13,” he said in a statement today.

The FIB had granted an extension to clubs to complete all documentation for the 2024/2025 Club Licensing Cycle for the national club license under the AFC CLAS licensing system until yesterday, compared to the original deadline of April 30, following written requests from several clubs.

This development follows reports that several Super League teams were considering withdrawing from the league due to financial difficulties, including Perak FC, whose chairman, Datuk Seri Azim Zabidi, was quoted as saying that the club would have to withdraw due to money problems.
