Dato’ G Kumaar Aamaan Urges Health Ministry to Act: Toxic Cosmetic Products Secretly Return to the Market!

10 Mey 2025 | OTTRANGKNEWS | Exclusive Report by Chief Editor, Dato’ G Kumaar Aamaan

KUALA LUMPUR – Ottrangknews Chief Editor, Dato’ G Kumaar Aamaan, has issued a strong and urgent call to the authorities after an internal investigation revealed that several previously banned cosmetic products containing dangerous chemical substances have returned to the market through underground channels.

Although the Ministry of Health Malaysia (MOH) had previously banned a series of cosmetic items containing scheduled poisons such as mercury, hydroquinone, tretinoin, and steroids, Ottrangknews has now uncovered that some distributors have rebranded these toxic products with new packaging and resumed their sale via social media platforms and e-commerce apps.

Dato’ G Kumaar Aamaan has described this situation as a serious public health crime that is absolutely unforgivable, especially when it endangers pregnant women, teenagers, and the general public.

> “I have personally seen how these banned products are now being openly sold again on TikTok and shopping apps. Where is the enforcement? Has the Ministry lost control over this underground cosmetic trade?” he questioned sternly.

He further revealed that product founders are now employing sly marketing tactics, using social media influencers and brand ambassadors to mislead consumers. In many cases, they mask the presence of hazardous substances by using complex scientific names unfamiliar to the average buyer.

Dato’ G Kumaar also called for the Health Ministry and relevant authorities to:

Strengthen surveillance and enforcement on cosmetic promotions via social media and online shopping platforms.

Publicly reveal the names of individuals or companies behind the toxic cosmetic network.

Take strict legal action against anyone promoting or selling unapproved products.

> “If no serious action is taken, I will not hesitate to reveal the evidence and name those involved in this disguised poison trade. This is not just a business issue – this is a matter of life and death,” said Dato’ G Kumaar with firm resolve.

Ottrangknews is committed to continuing its investigation to expose the entire network of illegal and toxic cosmetic products for the safety and well-being of all Malaysians.
Dato’ G Kumaar Aamaan assures the public that he will not compromise on matters that endanger national health.
