Communications minister Fahmi Fadzil has expressed Malaysia’s willingness to work with Palestine to restore the telecommunications sector in Gaza. The minister, who is currently on a three-day working visit to Turkey, met with Palestinian economy minister Mohammad al-Amour to discuss potential cooperation between the two countries.

This is the first time a Malaysian minister has attended the 40th session of the standing committee for economic and commercial cooperation (Comcec) of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in 40 years.
