DAP Federal Territory (FT) Chairman Retains Post for 2024-2026 Term
KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 13 – Cheras Member of Parliament (MP) Tan Kok Wai has successfully retained his position as the chairman of DAP Federal Territory (FT) for the 2024-2026 term.
Election Results
Tan Kok Wai secured 179 votes in the Kuala Lumpur FT DAP Committee elections, which were held in conjunction with the FT Kuala Lumpur DAP Ordinary Convention 2024. A total of 22 candidates contested the party elections, and the top 15 secured spots in DAP’s FT committee.
New Positions and Retained Posts
Several DAP members also retained their respective posts, including:
- Bukit Bintang MP Fong Kui Lun (deputy chairman)
- Seputeh MP Teresa Kok (vice-chairman)
- Kepong MP Lim Lip Eng (secretary)
- Yap Yee Vonne (assistant secretary)
- Edmund Teoh Kheng Yaik (publicity secretary)
Other new roles include:
- Fong Kok Seng as treasurer
- Allan Lim Ching How as assistant treasurer
- Lee Bing Hong as organising secretary
- Lai Chun Chian and Janice Choo Chen Leece as assistant organising secretaries
