Chennai, March 25 – Actor and director Manoj Bharathiraja, son of legendary filmmaker Bharathiraja, has passed away at the age of 48 after suffering a cardiac arrest. The shocking news has left the film industry and fans in deep sorrow.
Manoj made his acting debut in Taj Mahal (1999) and later starred in films like Alli Arjuna, Kadal Pookkal, Samudhiram, Eeswaran, and Viruman. Following his father’s footsteps, he ventured into directing with the 2023 Tamil film Margazhi Thingal, which was critically acclaimed.
He is survived by his wife Nandana and their two daughters, Arthika and Mathivadani.
