Ottran GK News Investigation Report: Allegations of Misuse of TKPDRM Funds – An Urgent Call for Transparency
Kuantan, Pahang – As a voice for justice and integrity, Ottran GK News remains committed to exposing abuses of power and misconduct. In a recent report, concerns have been raised regarding allegations of opacity in the management of hospital aid funds from the Police Welfare Fund (TKPDRM) among police contingents in Pahang. These allegations focus on the management of ASP Senah, prompting calls for the state’s legal authorities to conduct a thorough investigation into the matter.
Sources from the Welfare Branch in Pahang have revealed concerns regarding the use of welfare funds by ASP Senah to purchase and distribute hampers. These hampers, allegedly offered with the intention of generating profit, are said to have been imposed on every district using her official authority. If true, this action contradicts clear directives from the Pahang Police Chief, who has called for assistance to be channelled transparently without any profit-seeking motives.
Integrity Issues: Voices from Within
A representative from the Welfare Branch, speaking anonymously, expressed frustration over the situation. “Even if the profit from these hampers is as little as 10 cents, it is still wrong. We contribute a portion of our salaries each month to this welfare fund. This is our right. ASP Senah’s instruction to provide these hampers without consultation is unacceptable. Whether it’s 10 cents or 10 ringgit, we will not tolerate it, and justice must be upheld,” asserted the source.
The representative also explained that the distribution of welfare funds had been duly acknowledged by the Bukit Aman Finance Unit through monthly emails. However, delays in receiving assistance from January to September have complicated the management of affected members’ needs.
Evading Accountability
When questioned about the delays, ASP Senah reportedly instructed representatives to use funds from their respective district police clubs. However, the primary concern raised was, “If the club requests the funds back, do we have to repay with hampers worth RM50?” asked the source, highlighting inconsistencies in the justification provided.
A proposal to channel the funds directly to the Welfare Branch was met with strong rejection. The representative shared an incident where ASP Senah responded harshly to the suggestion, blocking any intervention in the management of the state police welfare. “Her approach is completely different when dealing with higher-ranking officers, which exposes her hypocritical nature. Individuals like this should not be in the welfare unit.”
It was also mentioned that the pressure felt under her leadership has led to four members leaving the Welfare Branch due to an unbearable work environment.
Call for Justice and Accountability
In light of these concerns, Ottran GK News emphasizes that these allegations should not be dismissed. We urge the higher authorities of PDRM Pahang to conduct a comprehensive investigation to uncover the truth behind these claims. The integrity of law enforcement agencies depends on accountability, and this issue requires thorough examination.
If there is actual wrongdoing, the Pahang State Police Chief must take decisive action to restore the credibility of the welfare unit.
In this investigation report, Ottran GK News does not aim to pass judgment but to advocate for a call for justice and transparency. We uphold the values of integrity and accountability and believe that ASP Senah must uphold these principles and defend her honesty amidst these serious allegations.
