Bedong, Kedah, 10 December 2024 – Avaliar A/L Renganathan, a 66-year-old van driver, has strongly denied allegations of demanding RM3,500 in protection money from an individual named Sugitah A/P Ganeson. The accusation was allegedly made in a police report dated 18 October 2019.
Avaliar has urged the individual involved to come forward within one month to provide proof of the accusation. If they fail to do so, he will take legal action and send an official notice through his lawyer. He has also called on the authorities to investigate the report, which he deems to be false.
“There have been accusations made against me regarding the RM3500 protection money, but I categorically deny these claims. I never requested any such amount. If the individual cannot present credible evidence within a month, I will pursue legal action,” said Avaliar.
He only became aware of the accusation after viewing a news video on TikTok on 9 December 2024. Avaliar emphasized that he was never informed by any investigating officers about the report and claims the report is a fabrication.
He now seeks justice and hopes his reputation will be restored by the authorities.
