TAPAH, April 14 (Bernama) – Barisan Nasional (BN) candidate for the Ayer Kuning state by-election, Dr Mohamad Yusri Bakir, has named education as a top priority in his efforts to shape a brighter future for the constituency’s younger generation.

He said education plays a crucial role in transforming mindsets and opening doors to social and economic development. "Education changes our mindset, and that leads to improvements in our quality of life. That’s why it’s a top priority for us (BN) to help produce a great generation," he told reporters after attending the ‘Taqarrub Perak Sejahtera 2030’ programme at Kampung Tersusun Batu 4 here today.

When asked about the education gap between urban and rural areas, he said location should not be seen as a barrier to knowledge. "Being in a rural area doesn’t mean there are no smart people. We believe change is possible, and people who are fast and eager to learn will gain a lot of knowledge," said Mohamad Yusri, a former educator.

Mohamad Yusri said plans to enhance educational standards in Ayer Kuning would be tailored to local needs and executed as effectively as possible.
