Currency Markets: US Dollar Climbs in Late Trading
The US dollar climbed in late trading on Wednesday, reported Xinhua. The dollar index, which measures the greenback against six major peers, increased by 0.31 per cent to 103.612 at 3.00 pm (1900 GMT).

In late New York trading, the euro declined to US$1.0885 from US$1.0926 in the previous session, and the British pound advanced to US$1.2967 from US$1.2956 in the previous session. The US dollar bought 148.34 Japanese yen, higher than 147.90 yen of the previous session. It lost to 0.8823 Swiss francs from 0.8825 francs, and it was down to C$1.4364 from C$1.4410. Against the Swedish Krona, the dollar added to 10.0877 Kronor from 9.9925 Kronor.
