SEREMBAN, Dec 31 (Bernama) – The body of an unidentified man was found floating in a reservoir near a hotel here this morning.
Seremban District Police Chief, ACP Mohamad Hatta Che Din, said that the authorities received a call from a member of the public informing them about the floating body at around 10:50 AM.
“Upon inspection by the investigating officers, it was found that the body had bloated and was waterlogged, and no identification documents were found. Medical officers at Tuanku Ja’afar Hospital confirmed that the victim was estimated to have been dead for over 24 hours,” he said in a statement today.
He added that, at this stage, the investigation did not indicate any criminal elements, and the case has been classified as sudden death pending the completion of the post-mortem.
