Continuing Life
As a cancer patient, Sarlinawati knows firsthand the importance of perseverance and determination. “When I ride, it is like continuing life. A cancer patient has to keep on going no matter the circumstances. Whatever obstacles are in front of me, I have to continue,” she said.
A New Cancer Support Centre
The NCSM managing director, Dr. M Murallitharan, announced the launch of the first cancer support centre in Johor, which is expected to begin operations in March. The centre will provide cancer screenings and early detection, as well as services by experts in fields such as psychology, nutrition, counseling, and peer support. The centre will accommodate up to 300 patients and is a significant step forward in providing support to those affected by cancer.
