Dato’ G Kumaar Aamaan: “Do Not Stay Silent, Report Child Abuse Immediately”

Must Read

Kuala Lumpur – Ottran GK News Chief Editor, Dato’ G Kumaar Aamaan, has emphasized that child abuse cases in Malaysia are not new and that many incidents go unnoticed by authorities. He urged the public to report any cases of abuse they witness so that swift action can be taken.

This statement follows a viral incident involving a woman who was arrested after being caught on camera assaulting her child in front of a supermarket in Arau, Perlis.

“This is not the first case, and unfortunately, it will not be the last if society continues to remain silent. Many cases of abuse go unreported because no one steps forward. We must not wait until a case goes viral before taking action,” said Dato’ G Kumaar Aamaan.

He stressed that every individual has a responsibility to protect children from violence and abuse, regardless of who the perpetrator or victim is.

“If you witness any form of child abuse, do not hesitate to report it to the nearest police station or relevant authorities. A small action can save the life of a helpless child,” he added.

He also reminded the public that there are various channels available to report abuse cases, including the Talian Kasih 15999, which operates 24 hours a day.

“Do not let children continue to suffer. As a responsible society, we must take immediate action,” he urged.
