Kuala Lumpur, March 20 – Dato’ G Kumaar Aamaan, Chief Editor of Ottrangknews, along with Hindus across Malaysia, express their gratitude to the Mayor of Kuala Lumpur, Datuk Seri Maimunah Mohd Sharif, for her wise and considerate action in addressing the relocation of a Hindu place of worship in the capital.
Datuk Seri Maimunah Mohd Sharif stated that the Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) has identified a new relocation site to ensure that Hindus can continue their religious activities in a comfortable and harmonious environment.
“We deeply appreciate the Mayor’s concern in finding the best solution for the Hindu community in Kuala Lumpur. This action reflects the authorities’ commitment to respecting the rights and needs of all ethnic groups in Malaysia,” said Dato’ G Kumaar Aamaan.
Additionally, Dato’ G Kumaar Aamaan urged DBKL to fully bear the relocation and construction costs for the new place of worship, provided there are no objections from any party or NGO.
“I hope DBKL will consider covering all costs related to this relocation, including the cost of new construction, to ensure that Hindus are not burdened with heavy expenses. If there are no objections from any party or NGO, this would be the best step to safeguard the well-being of the Hindu community,” he added.
He also called for continuous cooperation from all parties to uphold harmony in Malaysia’s diverse society.
Hindus across Malaysia also express their gratitude and appreciation for DBKL’s fair and tolerant approach in addressing this issue.
Ottrangknews will continue to monitor the progress of this relocation and ensure that the rights of the Hindu community are preserved.
