Dato’ G Kumaar Aamaan Praises Lim Guan Eng’s Boldness, Datuk Seri Azalina’s Firmness & Tan Sri Azam Baki’s Integrity in HRD Corp Issue

Must Read

KUALA LUMPUR (Feb 5): The fight for transparency and accountability in governance has taken center stage as key leaders demonstrate their commitment to upholding integrity in the HRD Corp issue.

Former Finance Minister Lim Guan Eng has played a crucial role in questioning the reinstatement of HRD Corp’s CEO while investigations into the agency remain ongoing. His concern for the integrity of national institutions deserves praise, as it reflects his dedication to ensuring that the government system remains free from abuse of power and financial mismanagement.

During a debate in the Dewan Rakyat, he boldly questioned whether the views of the Auditor-General and the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) — comprising both government and opposition Members of Parliament — were being taken seriously by the authorities. Lim Guan Eng’s courage in standing up for the truth should be respected, as it proves that the spirit of reform and transparency is still alive in Malaysia’s political landscape.

Additionally, Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Law and Institutional Reform), Datuk Seri Azalina Othman Said, has demonstrated strong leadership in handling this issue. In a written response to Parliament, she affirmed that the investigation into HRD Corp is ongoing and that the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) is scrutinizing issues of non-compliance, governance, and potential abuse of power and corruption.

Her honesty and transparency in addressing this matter are highly commendable, as they showcase the government’s commitment to ensuring justice is upheld and that no individual is above accountability.

Meanwhile, MACC Chief Commissioner Tan Sri Azam Baki continues to uphold high standards of integrity in his role. He confirmed that HRD Corp remains under investigation, with multiple files opened to probe potential misconduct within the agency. His firm stance proves that MACC operates independently, without political pressure or favoritism, and remains committed to carrying out its duties with fairness and fearlessness.

As the Chief Editor of Ottrangknews and a community leader, I, Dato’ G Kumaar Aamaan, strongly commend these three individuals for their dedication to upholding justice. Their actions reflect the true spirit of governance, where transparency and integrity should always be prioritized.

This case clearly highlights that Malaysia needs more leaders with integrity who are unafraid to speak the truth and defend the principles of transparency. Corruption not only damages the country’s economy but also erodes public trust in government institutions.

As responsible citizens, we must support efforts to eradicate corruption and ensure that Malaysia remains free from all forms of abuse of power. No one should be above the law, and those found guilty must face justice regardless of their status or position.

Malaysia can only progress if we unite in upholding justice, transparency, and accountability. This nation needs leaders like Lim Guan Eng, Datuk Seri Azalina Othman Said, and Tan Sri Azam Baki who are courageous, principled, and committed to building a cleaner and corruption-free Malaysia.
