Dato G Kumaar Aamaan Urges Authorities to Take Immediate Action on Illegal Dumpsite in Taiping

Must Read

Taiping, Perak – Chief Editor of Ottrangknews and social activist, Dato G Kumaar Aamaan, has urged local authorities, particularly the Municipal Council and its members, to take immediate action regarding the illegal dumpsite issue that has been worsening over the years. He also highlighted the unfair enforcement practices that have persisted for decades without resolution.

According to reports, enforcement officers seem to be quick to issue fines for minor offenses, such as parking violations, but turn a blind eye to major issues like illegal waste dumping and the demolition of small traders’ stalls. This has led to public frustration, as hardworking citizens trying to make a living are penalized, while more serious problems are left unchecked.

Illegal Dumpsite Issue Left Unresolved for Decades

Residents near Jalan Kampung Ayer Kuning, Taiping Perak, heading towards Taman Kaya, have been complaining about the worsening waste problem, which has now spread across the road, particularly near PPRT housing areas. Despite numerous complaints, no concrete action has been taken by the municipal council.

“The people have suffered from this issue for too long. If it’s about issuing parking fines, they act fast. But when it comes to cleaning up illegal dumpsites or helping small traders, they remain silent. How long will this continue? I urge the Municipal President (YDP) and Council Members to take this issue seriously before people completely lose trust in the system,” said Dato G Kumaar Aamaan.

He also called on the public and social media users to spread awareness and make this issue go viral to ensure the authorities cannot ignore it any longer.

Immediate Action Needed

Dato G Kumaar Aamaan emphasized that the problem of unfair enforcement and illegal dumping is not new but has persisted for decades without a solution. He demanded that the municipal council take drastic measures rather than making empty promises to the people.

“Don’t just focus on demolishing and issuing fines. If you truly want to develop the area, find a fair solution for the people,” he added.
