HANIFAH ACCUSES ANWAR OF BEING A ‘TAMIL MOVIE HERO AND TRAITOR’ IN FRONT OF MUHYIDDIN: PH-UMNO ACCUSED OF SELLING MALAYSIA TO CHINA

JEMPOL, May 4 – Jempol BERSATU Division Chief, Mohamad Hanifah Abu Baker, delivered one of the harshest criticisms yet against Prime Minister Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim at an official Perikatan Nasional (PN) event attended by PN Chairman Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin. In his fiery speech, Hanifah branded Anwar as a “Tamil movie hero”—impressive on screen but a traitor in real life.

“Anwar is like a Tamil movie hero – looks great on TV, but in reality, he’s a traitor. The Malays have long realised it, and now even the Indians and Chinese are starting to see it,” he said to loud cheers from hundreds at the Opening Ceremony of the PN Jeram Padang Coordinating Office.

Hanifah further accused the PH-UMNO coalition government of not only failing to deliver on its promises to the people but also repeating the same mistakes they once condemned during the 14th General Election (GE14)—including allowing foreign investments from China with little to no scrutiny.

“Back during GE14, PH slammed China investments for having loose conditions, accusing the then-government of selling the country. Now that they’re in power, they’re doing the same thing. This isn’t reform—this is hypocrisy,” he declared.

He also described the administration of the Negeri Sembilan Menteri Besar as weak and cowardly, especially in addressing sensitive issues that affect the people. He dismissed recent answers given in the state assembly (DUN) as nothing but “empty talk.”

Commenting on the current political landscape, Hanifah claimed that Indian voters are increasingly abandoning PH and BN, as seen in the voting trends of the recent Air Kuning by-election, where votes shifted towards PN and alternative candidates.

“Indian voters have moved on – no longer supporting Barisan Nasional or PH, but leaning towards PN or alternatives like PSM,” he added.

He asserted that the BERSATU office inaugurated that day symbolised the rise of a new PN force, with growing public confidence in the coalition—even among non-Muslims.

Hanifah ended his speech with a firm assurance to Tan Sri Muhyiddin that BERSATU Negeri Sembilan would rise as a credible alternative power in the upcoming general election.

“We are ready to rise with the people – Malays, Chinese, and Indians – for a fairer and cleaner Negeri Sembilan,” he declared, met with thunderous applause.
