According to preliminary reports, Sjn Nyambong, the son of Buget who was on duty, directed Pbt Mohd Hafiz bin Mohd Yusof to inspect the room. They discovered an unidentified individual climbing out of the window while shouting “Thief.” This prompted a chase between the team and the intruder.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the intruder had cut through the fence to enter the camp, leaving his motorcycle at the Shell Petrol Station. The motorcycle was seized by the duty guard and taken to Guard Post A.
