“Injustice Anywhere Is a Threat to Justice Everywhere” – MIC Unites for Najib, Says Saravanan

PETALING JAYA, January 2, 2025 – Drawing inspiration from the profound words of Martin Luther King Jr., MIC Deputy President M. Saravanan announced the party’s decision to participate in the January 6 rally in solidarity with former Prime Minister Najib Razak. The rally aims to demand justice for Najib, transcending party and racial politics, while upholding the principle that justice must prevail for all.

Saravanan emphasized the peaceful nature of the assembly and clarified that it was not tied to any political agenda. “This is not about politics; it is about standing against injustice in any form. Thousands of Malaysians will come together in solidarity for Najib,” he said.

The rally is set to take place at the Palace of Justice in Putrajaya on the same day the Court of Appeal will hear Najib’s application to present new evidence in his appeal to serve his prison sentence under house arrest.
