The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has signed a US$10 million financial support memorandum with the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) to address the growing humanitarian needs in the Gaza Strip. The MoU was signed by KSrelief’s Assistant Supervisor General for Operations and Programs Eng. Ahmed bin Ali Al-Baiz and Head of the Regional Delegation of the ICRC for the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Mamadou Sow.

Supporting Key Sectors

Under the agreement, the ICRC’s programs and activities in the sectors of health, water, environmental sanitation, and nutrition in the Gaza Strip will be supported. The funding will also assist displaced populations with urgent relief and shelter.

Ongoing Efforts to Support Palestine

This initiative is part of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s ongoing efforts, through KSrelief, to support the affected Palestinian people in Gaza and provide them with essential services. The Saudi Arabian government has consistently demonstrated its commitment to addressing the humanitarian crisis in the region, and this MoU is a testament to its dedication to supporting those in need.
