While Malaysians face hardships, the government seems more eager to act as a “global savior.” Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim appears more focused on international issues like Palestine rather than addressing the struggles of his own people, who continue to suffer from rising living costs, low wages, and poor infrastructure.
Neglected Rural Areas, Empty Promises
In Sabah, Sarawak, Kelantan, and Pahang, many Malaysians are still living in dire conditions. Clean water remains a luxury, electricity supply is unstable, and healthcare facilities are severely lacking. Roads are muddy, and schools operate with inadequate basic facilities.
During election campaigns, politicians flood these areas with promises of development, but once in power, they disappear, leaving the people to struggle on their own. The government only shows up when they need votes, but after that, the rakyat is forgotten.
Aid for Gaza While Malaysians Suffer
Malaysia has consistently provided aid to Gaza under the pretext of humanitarian concern. However, citizens ask: where is the humanitarian concern for Malaysians themselves? If the government can allocate funds for other countries, why is there no serious effort to resolve the struggles of local citizens?
Shockingly, just a few months ago, Malaysians witnessed a group of Palestinians rioting in Kuala Lumpur. This disrespectful act should have served as a wake-up call for the government to prioritize its own people first. However, instead of taking firm action, the government quietly sent them back to “cover up” the situation.
Rising Costs, Growing Hardships
With the economy in decline, Malaysians are burdened by skyrocketing prices. The cost of food is rising, rent is becoming unaffordable, and daily expenses continue to increase. Yet, the government appears uninterested in finding real solutions. Instead, they are more focused on political rhetoric than improving the welfare of their people.
If the government can allocate millions for foreign aid, why are Malaysians still struggling to survive? Does the government want to be seen as a global hero while failing to take care of its own citizens?
Enough of the Politics, People Want Solutions!
It’s time for the government to stop playing games and start working for the rakyat. Malaysians are tired of hearing empty promises that never materialize.
The welfare of Malaysian citizens must come first. If leaders genuinely want to help, they should start by solving domestic issues before seeking global recognition. Otherwise, they risk losing the trust of the people who are tired of being sidelined while their leaders chase international fame.
