SERENDAH, SELANGOR – A 24-year-old local man believed to be the mastermind behind a drug distribution syndicate in the Serendah area has been successfully apprehended by authorities. The suspect, allegedly operating with three accomplices still at large, is said to have supplied drugs to local addicts.
The raid was conducted following intelligence reports and public complaints about suspicious activities at the location. During the operation, police seized quantities of methamphetamine and amphetamine pills, believed to be intended for regular customers.
“The suspect tried to evade responsibility with various excuses, but evidence found at the scene clearly linked him to the drug distribution activities. We are currently investigating the network involved and other individuals connected to the syndicate,” said an unnamed police officer.
Authorities acted swiftly after receiving a tip-off from an anonymous informer. Efforts are ongoing to track down the three accomplices believed to be involved in the syndicate.
The police have urged members of the public to come forward with any information to assist in the investigation. The case is being investigated under Section 39B of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952, which carries the death penalty or life imprisonment upon conviction.
Authorities reaffirmed their commitment to combating drug distribution activities to ensure the community’s well-being. “Collaboration from all parties is crucial to completely eradicate this menace,” the officer added.
