Minority Families to Receive Birth Incentives: Dato G Kumaar Aamaan Calls for Immediate Action from Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim

Must Read

KUALA LUMPUR, February 12, 2025 – Dato G Kumaar Aamaan, Chief Editor and Activist, has called on Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim to take immediate action in providing birth incentives to the Indian, Chinese, Orang Asli, and other minority communities in Malaysia.

According to him, with the declining birth rate among minority groups, the government must introduce birth incentives as an important step to maintain demographic balance and ensure the long-term prosperity of the nation.

“As a leader who has consistently stated that the children of minorities are his own children, I believe Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim deeply cares about the plight of these communities. Therefore, it is appropriate for him to take concrete steps in providing birth incentives for minorities, which will offer the necessary economic and social support,” said Dato G Kumaar Aamaan.

Proposed Incentives for the Indian, Chinese, Orang Asli, and Other Minority Communities:

1. Birth Financial Assistance – Providing financial aid ranging from RM5,000 to RM10,000 for each birth in minority families to cover delivery and baby care costs.

2. Early Education Fund – Each baby born will receive an initial fund in the National Education Savings Scheme (SSPN) ranging from RM2,000 to RM5,000 to ensure better education opportunities.

3. Free Healthcare – Subsidies for delivery hospitals and health care for mothers and babies in low-income families.

4. Formula Milk and Nutritional Assistance – Providing essential baby supplies, especially to families in rural areas and Orang Asli communities.

5. Affordable Housing Scheme – Special housing programs for families with three or more children.

6. Extended Maternity and Paternity Leave – Introducing a policy of six months maternity leave and one month paternity leave to ensure a balance between family and career.

Why This is Important for the Nation’s Future:

With the declining birth rate, Dato G Kumaar Aamaan warns that the negative effects on society and the nation will become increasingly apparent, including:

Diminishing Political Influence – The voice of minority groups will weaken as the number of voters continues to decrease.

Loss of Expertise – Malaysia will lose talent and quality workforce in specific fields, especially those involving the Chinese and Indian communities.

Economic Decline – A decrease in the workforce and entrepreneurs can negatively affect the nation’s economy.

Cultural and Heritage Decline – A lack of new generations will cause the culture and heritage of minority groups to fade.

A Call to Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim

“The government under the leadership of Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim must act immediately to address this issue. By providing comprehensive birth incentives, we can ensure the well-being of minority communities in the country and guarantee a brighter future for Malaysia,” added Dato G Kumaar Aamaan.
