A 62-year-old man, R Thinakaran, who was reported missing after going for physiotherapy treatment on Tuesday, was found dead in a room at a hotel in Ipoh today. According to Ipoh police chief Abang Zainal Abidin Abang Ahmad, the body was discovered at 4:20 pm.

Autopsy to Determine Cause of Death

Medical officers from Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital, who were at the scene, confirmed the death. The deceased was found lying on a bed with no visible injuries to his body, and there were no signs of criminal activity or foul play. The body will be sent for an autopsy tomorrow to determine the cause of death.

Case Classified as Sudden Death

Abang Zainal said that the case has been classified as sudden death. He explained that police received information on Tuesday afternoon that Thinakaran left his home in Taman Pulai Heights in a car but failed to return.
