As of November this year, the fund has supported 112 conservation projects with a total funding of over RM21 million.

Strengthening Conservation Efforts
Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad, Minister of Natural Resources and Environmental Sustainability, emphasized the importance of strengthening NCTF’s efforts in conserving and preserving the country’s biological resources. He highlighted the need for involvement from various sectors to ensure the success of the conservation initiatives.
“We no longer want to see the country’s native species suffer the same fate as the extinction of the Sumatran Rhino. Therefore, this effort needs to be continued by all levels of society so that the country’s natural assets are preserved and can be enjoyed by future generations,” he said.
NCTF 1.0 Conservation Carnival
The NCTF 1.0 Conservation Carnival, also known as the NCTF Conservation Showcase 1.0, was organized to provide widespread exposure to the community regarding conservation activities under the NCTF. The one-day event aimed to raise awareness about the importance of preserving and conserving natural resources and the environment.
Conclusion
The National Conservation Trust Fund for Natural Resources has made significant progress in its mission to conserve and preserve the country’s natural resources. With a decade of experience and a proven track record of success, the NCTF is well-positioned to continue its efforts in protecting the country’s biodiversity and natural assets for future generations.
