One of the locations frequently mentioned is an entertainment venue near Aroma Hotel, which is allegedly a hotspot for illegal services operating without fear of police raids.
“Is Penang Free from Vice, or a Haven for Illegal Entertainment?”
A netizen, who wished to remain anonymous, raised concerns about whether the police and state authorities are truly monitoring the situation or only responding when the issue goes viral.
“Why are these clubs allowed to operate so freely? Do the authorities genuinely not know, or is someone protecting these activities?” one social media user questioned.
Another netizen urged the Chief Minister of Penang to personally visit these areas at night with enforcement agencies to witness the reality on the ground.
“If the state government is serious about combating social ills, prove it with action! Don’t just issue statements without taking real measures,” said another frustrated user.
