Heartfelt congratulations to the Deputy Director (Intelligence/Operations) of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) Bukit Aman, Datuk Fadil Marsus, and his entire team for their outstanding success in dismantling a kidnapping syndicate and taking down a criminal in an intense early morning operation.
In the incident that unfolded at Jalan Bayu Tinggi, Bandar Bukit Tinggi, Klang, a local man believed to be involved in the abduction of a 16-year-old girl in Avenue Seremban, Negeri Sembilan, was shot dead by police following an exchange of gunfire.
According to Datuk Fadil Marsus, the suspect had previously demanded a ransom of RM2 million for the victim’s release. However, the swift action of the police ensured that the victim was safely freed at Nusari Bayu Sendayan, Seremban 2, last Friday night.
During the attempted arrest early Monday morning, the suspect acted violently, ramming into police vehicles in a desperate bid to escape. Thanks to the rapid response of the CID team, the 21-year-old suspect was ultimately shot dead after a shootout.
Police also seized a semi-automatic Colt pistol and a machete from the suspect. Following the incident, six other individuals, aged between 20 and 31, were arrested around Jalan Tiara Sendayan, Negeri Sembilan. Authorities successfully recovered RM230,000 of the ransom money, while other seized items are still under police review.
This triumph stands as clear proof of the police force’s firm commitment to combatting serious crimes that threaten public safety.
A proverb to serve as a lesson to all criminals:
“No matter how high a squirrel jumps, it will eventually fall to the ground.”
Crime will never escape the grasp of the law. A stern reminder to all criminals: justice will always prevail!
