However, this time, it’s not about celebrating success but rather serving as a humorous take on the rising cost of living, including soaring prices of goods and fuel.
The original video, which showed supporters cheering with full enthusiasm, has now been creatively edited into various versions. Dato’ G Kumaar Aamaan himself admitted that he couldn’t stop laughing while watching the viral video, amused by how Malaysians managed to turn a political chant into a sharp satire on the cost-of-living crisis. Some versions overlay the footage with supermarket price hikes, others add a voiceover saying, “Fuel price up? Our DS Anwar won!”, and some even insert laugh tracks every time a new price hike is announced.
One TikTok user posted the video with the caption: “We cheered when he won, now we cheer because prices are winning too!” The comments section was flooded with hilarious reactions, including one netizen saying, “After seeing my electricity bill this month, I feel like doing the dance from the video again!”
