SEPANG, June 8 (Bernama) – Shanghai Yonda BWT team driver, Dylan Pereira, solidified his championship lead by clinching the title in Round Seven of the 2025 Porsche Carrera Cup Asia (PCCA) at the Sepang International Circuit (SIC) today.
The Luxembourg-born driver had previously dominated Rounds Five and Six before extending his lead by being the first to cross the finish line with a time of 41 minutes 18.144 seconds (s) ahead of Toro Racing driver, Enzo Trulii who finished second with a time of (+21.016s), while Dylan Yip (+21.651s), representing Phantom Global Racing, secured third spot.
“I think we just really did a great job in fine tuning the car as good as we can. Adapt the track as much as I could and managed to find a way to drive in here and really happy for it. Hopefully, I can continue this momentum to the next race,” he told reporters after the race.
National driver Nazim Azman, representing Sime Motors Racing, also recorded a positive result, finishing in fourth place (41:42.923s).
However, luck was not on the side of young national driver Amer Harris Jefry, representing Z Speed Motorsport, who was given a “did not start” (DNS) ruling for Round Seven.
PCCA Rounds Eight and Nine will continue at the Bangsaen Street Circuit, Thailand, from July 4 to 6.
