Politics and the Indian Community: The Future Under DS Anwar’s Leadership & the Unresolved Temple Issue

Must Read

Breaking News from Dato G Kumaar Aamaan, Chief Editor of Ottrangknews & Activist

For a long time, the Indian community in Malaysia has been an integral part of the nation’s political landscape. However, under the leadership of DS Anwar Ibrahim, questions are arising about the future of Indian representation in PKR. What is their direction? Why is the number of Indian leaders in this party decreasing?

Former PKR Vice President, N. Surendran, has long left the political scene, and many other once-vocal Indian leaders are now absent. Is this merely a coincidence, or is there a deeper issue at play? Today, only a few, such as YB Saras, remain, while new candidates like YB Ramanan and Dr. Sathia are attempting to secure their positions in the party. But do they truly represent the voice of the Indian community, or are they merely fulfilling a quota?

DS Anwar, you were once a beacon of hope for the Indian community, fighting for their rights and campaigning on numerous platforms to gain their support. But are you still the same leader? Are your promises to the Indian community still relevant, or have they become a thing of the past? We demand justice and clarity.

Beyond politics, the recurring issue of temples also cannot be taken lightly. DS Anwar, you should not merely state that “this temple will be on railway land, that temple will be on an estate, and another temple will be on river reserve land.” The reality is that many temples in Malaysia are indeed situated in reserve areas such as KTM land, but this should not be an excuse to neglect a fair and comprehensive resolution.

We urge your administration to take a more proactive approach in resolving this temple issue fairly and transparently. Do not allow the Indian community to continue being sidelined in mainstream discussions. Delayed action will only lead to more complications and dissatisfaction among the people. We have done nothing wrong, and this issue cannot be left unresolved.

DS Anwar, do you truly understand the gravity of this situation? The political landscape of the country is changing, and if Perikatan Nasional (PN) comes to power, they may take full control. You must act now before it is too late. Do not let history repeat itself due to negligence in addressing issues that affect the future of the Indian community in Malaysia.
