SUNGAI BULOH, Feb 10 (Bernama) — A total of 600 B40 students in the Sungai Buloh parliamentary constituency received sponsorship for the opening of i-Nuri Savings Accounts with Bank Rakyat, courtesy of Deputy Minister of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives, Datuk Seri R. Ramanan, today.
Through this personal initiative, Ramanan covered the RM20 account opening cost for each student to encourage them to start saving for their future education.
“This product serves as an early step to help children save for their education,” he said after officiating the MADANI Community Outreach: Back to School program organized by Bank Rakyat.
Additionally, he contributed school supplies worth RM48,000 to 600 students from 19 schools across the Sungai Buloh constituency.
Ramanan emphasized that the government, under the leadership of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, remains committed to making education a cornerstone of national development, in line with the Malaysia MADANI principles.
