SHAH ALAM, Nov 10 (Bernama) – Sabah DAP has been granted autonomy to hold discussions with Parti Gagasan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) in preparation for the next state election, according to DAP secretary-general Anthony Loke.
This decision was made due to Sabah DAP’s better understanding of the political dynamics and situation in the state. Loke expressed confidence in the new leadership of Sabah DAP, citing a meeting he had with Sabah DAP chairman Datuk Phoong Jin Zhe in Labuan, during which Phoong explained the dynamics and politics in Sabah.
Cabinet Functions Smoothly with GRS and GPS
Loke, who is also the Transport Minister, praised the Unity Government led by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim for achieving political stability in the past two years, which has driven the country’s economy forward. He noted that the Cabinet functions smoothly not only with Barisan Nasional but also with Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) and GRS.

Loke expressed hope that the election for the new term of the Selangor DAP Committee would proceed smoothly, with its leadership comprising members of various races.
