Shocking! Ismail Sabri Accused of Withdrawing Support – Here’s His Surprising Explanation!

Must Read

PETALING JAYA, March 24, 2025 – Former Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob has denied the shocking allegation that he, along with 13 Umno MPs, has withdrawn support for the unity government. The claim, which has gone viral on social media, has sparked widespread speculation among the public and political observers.

Responding to the controversy, Ismail Sabri dismissed the accusation as a malicious attempt to tarnish his image and sow discord within Barisan Nasional (BN). He also believes that hidden hands are working behind the scenes to destabilize the country’s political landscape.

A Political Smear to Divide BN?

Ismail Sabri initially chose to ignore the speculations, but as more posts and videos circulated, he felt compelled to set the record straight.

“I believe there are ill intentions behind the spread of this claim, especially against me. It is clearly an effort to damage my reputation and create distrust among BN MPs,” he said.

He further emphasized that all 30 BN MPs have consistently supported the unity government, including during the vote of confidence for Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

BN Secretary-General Also Dismisses the Allegations

Not only Ismail Sabri, but BN Secretary-General Datuk Seri Zambry Abdul Kadir also denied the claim on March 17. Zambry labeled the spread of this false information as a deliberate attempt to disrupt political stability and incite public distrust.

“So far, not a single BN MP has withdrawn support, especially in a time when political stability is crucial,” Zambry stated firmly.

Public Urged to Be Cautious of Fake News

Ismail Sabri urged the public not to easily believe unverified news and advised them to refer to official sources before spreading information that could harm national harmony.

He reiterated that Umno and BN remain committed to supporting the unity government to ensure the country remains stable amid ongoing economic and geopolitical challenges.
