KUALA LUMPUR, FEBRUARY 8, 2025 – Three men were charged in the Kuala Lumpur Magistrate’s Court today in connection with a riot incident outside a nightclub on Jalan Klang Lama, Brickfields on January 29.
Two of the accused, S. Jeevan, 19, and another 18-year-old individual, pleaded not guilty after the charges were read before Magistrate Amira Abdul Aziz. Meanwhile, another suspect pleaded guilty and is awaiting sentencing.
Riot and Possession of Dangerous Weapons
According to the charge, the suspects, along with five other individuals who are still at large, were involved in a riot and were in possession of knives used during the attack at 6:20 AM that day.
The case has drawn public attention as it involves violence in a popular entertainment area.
Authorities Hunting for Five More Suspects
The police are currently tracking down the five remaining suspects believed to be involved in the incident. Authorities have warned that strict action will be taken against anyone engaged in criminal activities, especially in entertainment hotspots.
The case is expected to be mentioned again in the near future for further trial proceedings.
