Kuala Lumpur, January 4 (Bernama) – Terengganu Hockey Team (THT) has made a promising start to the 2025 Malaysia Hockey League (LHM) premier competition, clinching the Charity Shield (Piala Sumbangsih) with a 2-1 victory over defending champions Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) at the National Hockey Stadium in Bukit Jalil.

The match, which was played at Field 2 of the National Hockey Stadium, saw TNB take an early lead through a penalty flick by South Korean national player Jang Jong Hyun in the 27th minute. However, THT quickly equalised through a penalty corner by Faizal Saari in the 30th minute.

The THT’s winning goal came in the third quarter of the match when Tengku Ahmad Tajuddin Tengku Abdul Jalil had no trouble converting a penalty corner in the 42nd minute, securing the team’s victory.
