A 27-year-old individual believed to be a transgender pleaded not guilty in the Kuala Lumpur sessions court today to offering sexual services and selling pornographic videos to a police officer for RM120 in September last year.

The offence was allegedly committed in front of a hotel on Jalan Klang Lama at 11:30 am on September 9, 2024.

The accused was charged with advertising and offering sexual services and selling pornographic videos and images for the purpose of prostitution via X to a police officer with the rank of corporal for RM120. This charge is under Section 372(1)(e) of the Penal Code, which provides for up to 15 years’ imprisonment, whipping, and a fine if convicted.

The Prosecution and Defence

The prosecution was led by deputy public prosecutor Nidzuwan Abd Latip, while the accused was represented by lawyer Faiz Syukri.

Judge Siti Shakirah Mohtarudin read the charge against the accused, and she entered her plea of not guilty. The court allowed bail of RM8,000 and ordered the accused to surrender her passport until the case is resolved. The court set March 12 for remention of the case.
