Asian Cycling Champions On the Hunt for Glory

Kuala Terengganu, March 15 – The Terengganu Cycling Team (TSG) is gearing up to participate in the Tour de Taiwan, a five-stage 646.49-kilometre race that will take place from March 16 to 20. The team is looking to secure at least one podium finish in the prestigious event.

Team Lineup

According to Chief Operating Officer Nasiruddin Wan Idrus, the team will field five cyclists, including four import riders, for the grueling race. The riders are Kee Zhe Yie, Metkel Eyob, Vadim Pronskiy, Mathias Bregnhoj, and Stefan De Bod. The team has prepared well for the challenging hilly routes, and the riders are ready to give their best.

Aim for the Top

"We aim to secure at least a podium finish and collect as many points to retain our Asian champion title this season," said Nasiruddin when contacted today. The team is determined to make a strong showing in the Tour de Taiwan and will stop at nothing to achieve their goal.

Adapting to Ramadan

The team has had to adapt their training programme to the Ramadan month, switching morning training sessions to the night for the safety and health of the cyclists. This adjustment has not hindered the team’s progress, and they remain confident in their abilities.
