Urgent Action Needed as Plastic Recycling Factory Operates Illegally with Undocumented Workers in Beranang

Must Read

Beranang, Selangor – A plastic recycling factory operating at Jalan Perindustrian SIS, Taman Perindustrian SIS 228, 43700 Beranang, Selangor, has come under fire for running covertly without a valid business license and employing a significant number of foreign workers without the proper permits.

Sources reveal that the factory has been concealing its operations by using a closed front grill, purposely hiding illegal activities from the authorities. Despite numerous complaints from concerned residents, the factory has continued to operate for several months without facing any significant intervention.

Local residents are calling on Y.B. Tuan Nushi Bin Mahfodz, alongside other enforcement agencies such as the Immigration Department, to take immediate and decisive action. They are urging a large-scale crackdown to inspect and ensure the compliance of all businesses in the area. In addition, they are looking to Y.B. Arul Kumar A/L Jambunathan, the dedicated State Assemblyman for Nilai and EXCO of Negeri Sembilan, for inspiration. Y.B. Arul Kumar has been known for his unwavering commitment to visiting every part of his constituency, inspecting businesses, and ensuring that illegal activities are promptly addressed, no matter how challenging the situation.

Concerns About Undocumented Workers and Safety

With many foreign workers in the factory lacking proper documentation, there are rising concerns regarding public safety and security. Residents have also pointed out that the uncontrolled operations of the factory have contributed significantly to environmental pollution, which has had a damaging effect on the surrounding community. The unchecked practices are seen as an immediate threat to both the safety of residents and the well-being of the environment.

Calls for Immediate and Strict Enforcement

In light of these serious violations, the local community is urging the following actions from the authorities:

1. Thorough Inspections – Conduct comprehensive checks on all factories and businesses in the Taman Perindustrian SIS area to ensure full compliance with the law.

2. Legal Action – Take legal measures against the factory for operating without a valid license.

3. Documentation Checks – Ensure all foreign workers are thoroughly vetted and possess proper work permits.

It is critical to note that such unregulated factory operations do not only break the law but also result in severe consequences such as safety hazards, environmental degradation, and an unfair economic advantage over legitimate businesses.

The community is looking towards the authorities to show leadership and commitment to eliminating illegal businesses, and they hope the example set by Y.B. Arul Kumar will inspire immediate action. Y.B. Arul Kumar’s proactive approach to combating illegal activities in Nilai serves as a shining model of how local leadership can bring about tangible change for the betterment of the community.

Community Awaits Immediate Action

The residents of Beranang, like many others across Malaysia, are growing tired of waiting. They are calling for urgent and effective enforcement to rid the area of illegal operations and ensure that their community remains safe, environmentally sound, and fair for local businesses.
