ZAMRI VINOTH’S STATEMENT SPARKS CONTROVERSY: DATO G KUMAAR AAMAAN CALLS FOR RESPONSIBLE SPEECH TO MAINTAIN HARMONY

Must Read

KUALA LUMPUR, March 25 – A recent statement made by independent preacher Muhammad Zamri Vinoth Kalimuthu on Facebook has sparked controversy and drawn mixed reactions from the public.

He wrote:

> “This is a profitable business! No capital needed, just stake a claim and occupy the place for 100 years, make some noise, and it’s settled. Getting 4,000 square feet of land in the middle of the city for free… Very profitable… So who’s the fool now?”

As the Chief Editor of Ottrangknews and a community activist, I, Dato G Kumaar Aamaan, feel compelled to seek clarification from Zamri Vinoth regarding the true intent behind this statement.

Is this an attempt to stir up racial and religious sentiments? Or merely a publicity stunt to gain attention? In a multiracial country like Malaysia, every statement and written word must be conveyed responsibly, rather than with sarcasm that could disrupt social harmony.

I want to remind everyone that discussions involving religion and racial harmony must be approached with wisdom and tact. As the saying goes:

> “Harsh words do not reflect bravery, but rather a lack of wisdom in speech.”

If Zamri Vinoth’s intention is to advocate for the truth, then his approach should be more mature and responsible. Harsh words will only fuel hatred, not solve problems.

> “If our words cause division, it is better to remain silent and seek ways to unite.”

I urge everyone, especially during this holy month of Ramadan, to be mindful of the impact of their words on society’s sensitivities. Harmony is not something that happens on its own; it must be nurtured through mutual respect and deep understanding.
